NOTE: If you have a network installation of Word 6.0, you cannot use the Word 6.0a Patch to upgrade your installation; you must obtain a full Word 6.0a disk set by mail (free of charge). To obtain this disk set, call Microsoft Sales Information Center at (800) 426-9400. This patch is for SINGLE-USER Winword 6.0 ONLY! For a description of changes and fixes in the 6.0a patch, please refer to WINWORD6.TXT also available in this library.

This is the update patch that will update your Winword 6.0 to 6.0a. You must already have Winword 6.0 installed to make use of this patch. After downloading, copy to a disk or directory then type WORD60A to extract. Run SETUP to recreate the update files. Setup will extract files to the  current direcotry and will create two subdirectories under the current directory called REG and HELP. Refer to UPGRADE.DOC for more information. To actually apply the update patch, run UPGRADE.EXE from Progman. Be sure to have all Windows applications including Winword closed when you run UPGRADE.

To run, enter: SETUP then UPGRADE from Windows
